In the 1940s, Horace Usry, known as The Fat Man, took over his father's grocery and renamed it Fat Man's Corner. A restaurant soon followed and later became Fat Man's Cafe, known for Miss Pearl's fried chicken. The business expanded into the beloved Fat Man's Forest before closing in 2008. Today, the Fat Man's tradition lives on at Enterprise Mill, offering dine in service, catering, and events.
